1. Who we are and acceptance of terms

ARC-HIVE (Anticholinergic Reduction Case-studies: A Health Improvement Via Evidence register, "ARC-HIVE", "we", "us") is operated by the University of Aberdeen. By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Purpose of the Site

ARC-HIVE is a reference tool intended for research, education, healthcare improvement, and public interest purposes. It provides a register of anticholinergic reduction projects and initiatives. Nothing on the Site constitutes medical advice or a substitute for advice from qualified healthcare professionals.

3. Content and intellectual property

Project summaries and editorial materials are, unless otherwise stated, owned by the University of Aberdeen or contributed by project submitters. You may reproduce and share these materials for non-commercial purposes with credit to "ARC-HIVE, University of Aberdeen" and a link to the relevant page. Commercial reuse requires prior written permission. Rights in project materials remain with their original owners and must be respected.

4. Fair use, text and data mining, and prohibitions

You must not remove attribution, misrepresent the source, imply University endorsement, or use automated means to scrape, bulk-download, mirror, or systematically harvest content without permission. Non-commercial academic text-and-data mining may be permitted where lawful and with lawful access; commercial mining or model-training use requires prior written consent.

5. User submissions and contributions

By submitting project materials (such as project descriptions, outcomes, or updates), you affirm you have the right to do so and that the submission complies with applicable law. You grant the University a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit, and publish the submission on ARC-HIVE. The team may edit or remove submissions at its discretion.

We endeavour to keep content accurate, current, and clear, but the Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Project information is provided by contributors and we cannot guarantee completeness or accuracy. Please contact us if you notice an error or omission and we will endeavour to correct it.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the University of Aberdeen is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Privacy and cookies

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and any applicable Cookie Notice. By using the Site, you acknowledge that processing.
